Frequently asked questions

Is there customer support?

Yes, all plans include US-based customer support. Starter plan is email-only, and we typically respond within 24 hours. Pro plan is email, call, and chat-based, and we typically respond within 3-4 hours.

What is a Seat?

A seat is a dedicated login/account for each member of your team that needs access to Avery. We do not allow password sharing.

How many calls and texts are included?

The Professional plan includes 2,500 SMS messages and 1,200 call minutes. Overages are billed at $0.025 per message (incoming and outgoing) and $0.02 per minute. The Starter plan does not include phone, SMS, or calling features.

Can I pass the payment fees to my tenants?

The Pro plan allows you to configure on a per-lease, or per-property basis whether fees are absorbed by the landlord or tenant.

How do AI tokens work?

AI tokens are entirely optional. They are consumed whenever Avery's AI works on your behalf — work order triage, lead nurturing, drafting replies, and more. You can use the Professional plan without them. If you do want AI features, we give you two options: pay as you go per token, or choose a predictable flat rate of $1.50/door/mo for unlimited AI.

What is Human-Assisted Operations?

It's like hiring an assistant property manager — minus the hiring. Avery's AI runs your day-to-day, but some moments still need a real person: a tenant escalating at 11pm, a vendor that's gone dark mid-work-order, books that need reconciling before the 15th, a prospect who keeps rescheduling their tour. Human-Assisted Operations is an on-call human ops team that learns your playbook and steps in wherever AI hands off. Optional on Professional, included on Enterprise.

What can the human ops team actually do?

Anything that doesn't require a real estate license or boots on the ground. In practice, that covers call handling and after-hours escalations, bookkeeping and reconciliation, tour scheduling and rescheduling, lead follow-up, work order intake and vendor coordination, maintenance status updates to tenants, tenant outreach and de-escalation, and the long tail of admin work that usually eats your evenings. What they can't do: sign leases, show units in person, or anything that legally requires a licensed agent — but most of what drains your week isn't that.

How is Human-Assisted Operations priced?

$129/mo gets you 90 minutes of human-handled time. Additional time is billed at $1.50/min. Minutes reset at the start of each billing cycle and don't roll over. AI-handled calls and tasks don't count against your minutes — you're only billed for time a real person on our team actually spends on your account.

Are there any setup fees?

There are a few one-time fees depending on what features you enable. ACH rent payments require a $79 KYC/KYB onboarding fee to verify your business with our payments partner. Setting up a local phone number for SMS has a $35 registration fee. Porting an existing phone number to AveryIQ is $69. All of these are optional — you only pay for what you use. Enterprise plans may have custom onboarding fees.
