This page describes how Avery, operated by Starlight Energy, Inc. ("Starlight," "we," "us," or "our"), and our property management company customers use SMS text messaging to communicate with prospective and current tenants.

1) Who Sends SMS Messages
SMS messages are sent through the Avery platform on behalf of property management companies who use our services. When you receive a text message, it will identify the sending property or property management company.
Starlight Energy, Inc. provides the technology platform that enables these communications. The property management company is responsible for the content of messages sent to their prospective and current tenants.
2) Types of Messages
You may receive the following types of SMS messages:
Lead-to-Lease Communications
- Tour confirmations and reminders
- Application status updates
- Lease signing notifications
- Move-in information and reminders
Resident Communications
- Work order confirmations and updates
- Maintenance scheduling notifications
- Payment reminders
- Property announcements and alerts
- Lease renewal notifications
3) How You Consent to Receive Messages
You may consent to receive SMS messages through the following methods:
Web Forms
When you schedule a property tour, submit a maintenance request, or fill out other forms on a property website, you may provide your phone number and check a consent box agreeing to receive SMS messages about your inquiry or request.

Lease Agreements
Current tenants consent to receive SMS messages as part of the lease signing process, which includes SMS consent language and links to our privacy policy and terms of service.
Keyword Opt-In
You may text START to a property phone number to opt in to receive messages from that property.
4) Message Frequency & Costs
- Message frequency varies. The number of messages you receive depends on your interactions with the property and the services you use.
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier apply. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
5) How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. You will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from that property.
Please note that opting out of SMS does not affect other communications such as email. You may still receive important notices via email or other channels as permitted by law or your lease agreement.
6) How to Get Help

7) Privacy & Data Use
Your phone number and messaging data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your phone number or share it for marketing purposes unrelated to the property services you requested.

Tour Confirmation
Hi Jane! Your tour at Oakwood Apartments is confirmed for Jan 25 at 2:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you! Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
Work Order Update
Hi Jane! We received your maintenance request for plumbing at Oakwood Apartments. Reference: WO-12345. We'll update you on progress. Reply HELP or STOP.
Maintenance Scheduled
Hi Jane! Your maintenance for plumbing is scheduled for Jan 26 between 9 AM - 12 PM. Please ensure access. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
